Kim Tackett and Steve Barbaria have been providing strategic design services to businesses and organizations in Northern California for 30 years. We managed a mid-sized studio in Sacramento for 25 years, and recently reinvented Tackett+Barbaria as a two-person firm. Our current studio is located in Davis, California, where we focus on smart work that is produced efficiently, bringing creative solutions to our clients.
We're well-versed in processors, packaging, and even poverty. We work with high-tech, green building, environmental engineering firms, and nonprofits challenged to meet the needs of the poor. We seek opportunities to make a difference with clients who want to change their communications, and even the world.

We offer three types of services: design, marketing consulting and editorial illustration. We are also pathfinders, mapmakers, storytellers, and once in a while, the cleanup crew.
